The Meridian Community Centre, a 144,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art community centre was officially opened in September of 2018.
The Town of Pelham (comprised of 17,000 residents in Niagara Region), hired Interkom in 2016 to develop a multi-year community fundraising strategy, to support their largest infrastructure investment in the history of the Town.
After conducting an in-depth Feasibility Study with ample community stakeholder engagement, it was determined that Interkom would spearhead the implementation of the fundraising campaign, which was divided into three different areas: The Capital Campaign, the Community Campaign and the Seat Campaign. Interkom’s key activities include branding of the project, valuation of various naming opportunities, donor approach, pledge agreement (donor contract) review, community campaign donation levels structure, sponsorship and advertising strategy, seat campaign, donor recognition events, campaign branding and communications.
Seventy companies and individuals contributed to the Capital Campaign, and the subsequent community and seat campaign helped exceed this ambitious target for this small community of 17,000 in Niagara Region.
Interkom’s multi-year engagement with the Town of Pelham resulted in yet another success of its fully integrated campaign management services, whereby fundraising becomes an outsourced service.
