Town of Aurora

Many Global and Canadian communities are looking to activate their downtowns by expanding and investing in cultural assets. Interkom’s experience in this area is unique because we have been working in this area for nearly four decades.

Interkom staff and associates have branded, launched, marketed and fundraised well-known visual arts and performing arts venues all over Ontario and the USA. Our diverse team of marketers, branding experts, arts operations and arts management staff are known to deliver well-thought-out workable solutions. Communities like Windsor, Sarnia, Pelham, St. Catharines, Hamilton, Burlington, Milton, Brampton, Markham and Kingston have benefitted from working with Interkom team members.

In Aurora, we are assisting in implementing the Cultural Master Plan, and helping this vibrant and growing community manage the development of a Cultural District in their downtown by engaging stakeholders and cultural partners in the community.

Interkom started with organizing a cultural partners roundtable, which resulted in a continued engagement process with the cultural partners. Subsequently a business plan was developed for the Aurora Museum and Cultural Centre (working name). The project has since gained Council’s approval and it’s moving forward as planned.
