Interkom and the Burlington Downtown Business Association have been working together for more than five years. Kayla also served as a member of their Board of Directors for many years.
Burlington’s downtown welcomes thousands of visitors each year, including two signature events – Sound of Music (Canada’s Largest Free Music Festival) and Canada’s Largest Rib Fest. Interkom was tasked to assist with implementation of Burlington Downtown’s key Strategic Marketing Initiatives: Market the Downtown Experience, Deliver the Downtown Experience, and market Downtown Burlington as a Tourism Destination.
Interkom helps with strategic marketing, budget development, campaign planning, marketing advisory, digital marketing and Social Media, membership engagement, implementation, creative, and website design, development, and SEO.
The design and development of the new website was built on the WordPress Content Management System (CMS) platform, including custom post type development for News & Blogs, Events Calendar, Business Directory, AODA Level AA compliance, back-end forms management, user management, Member portal (password-protected), dynamic content areas, and more.
Interkom also designed a custom eCommerce website for BDBA where the BIA can sell products from their downtown business members online.
