Gary Allan Learning Centres is the Continuing Education department of the Halton District School Board, offering flexible learning opportunities for students of all ages across Halton. Their programs range from high school credit courses and language instruction to literacy and numeracy development, empowering learners to achieve their goals in and beyond the classroom.
The existing website was difficult to navigate, with information buried under multiple layers. Students and parents often struggled to find essential details about registration, transcripts, and programs — leading to frequent inquiries and a need for a clearer, more intuitive digital experience.
Exploring Design Directions
With multiple stakeholders and evolving input, we developed a range of visual approaches to help clarify direction and align on tone. Each variation maintained the same core structure and accessibility goals, while offering different ways to express the organization’s identity and engage its diverse audience.
Redesigning for Simplicity and Access

- Modernized the visual design to reflect Halton District School Board branding while maintaining a fresh, approachable tone.
