A Modern Municipal Website Built for Residents, Visitors, and Staff
The Town of South Bruce Peninsula is a municipality in Bruce County, Ontario, serving a mix of residents, businesses, seasonal visitors, and tourists across communities including Wiarton, Sauble Beach, Hepworth, and Allenford. With a wide range of municipal services, public notices, community events, documents, forms, and online tools to manage, the Town needed a website that could make important information easier to find and maintain.
Interkom worked with the Town of South Bruce Peninsula to design and develop a new municipal website focused on accessibility, usability, and long-term content management. The new WordPress website provides a clearer structure for residents and visitors, improved access to online services, flexible page layouts for staff, and dedicated tools for news, events, alerts, forms, and public communications.
Website Design & Development
The new website was designed to make municipal information easier to find, easier to understand, and easier for staff to maintain. Interkom improved the site structure, navigation, page layouts, and content management tools, creating a more accessible digital experience for residents, visitors, businesses, and Town staff.

Connecting Residents to What They Need
- A prominent search entry point helps residents find services, pages, documents, and updates quickly.
- Quick links surface high-demand actions such as payments, registrations, permits, and online service tools.
- Task-based navigation organizes the site around how residents look for information, rather than internal Town departments.
- Clear pathways lead visitors into key areas including Services, Town Hall, News & Notices, Events, and Online Services.
- Current alerts, news, and upcoming events are visible from the homepage to keep important Town information within easy reach.
Service Hubs That Make Information Easier to Explore
The site’s major service areas are organized around clear landing pages that help residents understand what is available before moving into more detailed content. Each hub brings related services, links, and information together in one place, creating a more consistent path through the website and a flexible structure for Town staff to build on over time.

- Accordion content keeps longer service information organized, readable, and easier to scan.

- Consistent interior layouts help visitors stay oriented as they move deeper into Town information.
